  1. Fit a pastry bag (or ziplock) with a large round tip and fill with cream cheese frosting. Pipe frosting onto cupcakes in a swirl starting at the outside and moving inward.
  2. Dip a cleaned Sharpie, or other round bottomed marker, into the vegetable oil. Make a 1/2 inch-deep hole in the side of the frosting on each cupcake. Drip red food dye into the hole until it runs out onto the cupcake. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
