Instructions
For Cake:
  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease one 8 or 9-inch pan (at least 2 inches deep) and line with parchment.
  2. Cream butter and sugar on medium-high speed. Add the eggs one at a time, beating to combine. Add honey and vanilla and beat until combined. Slowly add milk and beat for 30 seconds. Your mixture may look curdled.
  3. In separate bowl combine the flour, salt and baking powder. Add dry ingredients to the wet, mixing on low until just combined.
  4. Pour into prepared pan and smooth the top with an offset spatula. Bake for 45 minutes for a 9-inch pan, 45 for an 8-inch pan, or until the top is golden brown and an inserted toothpick comes out clean. After five minutes run knife around the edge of the pan. Cool ten more minutes before turning out of pan and allowing to cool completely on a rack before glazing.
For Glaze:
  1. Combine confectioner’s sugar, honey, water and yellow food dye. If the glaze is too thick, add more water a few drops at a time.
  2. Pour glaze over cake. Allow glaze to set before dusting with sugar or stenciling.
